Product Summary

The Rhino is made by Chiappa Firearms for MKS. The revolutionary Rhino has a patented design, aligning the barrel with the bottom-most chamber to tame recoil and muzzle flip. The lower center of gravity and bore centerline are more in line with the shooter's arm for the most natural "pointability" while engaging a target. This ensures subsequent shots get on target faster than ever before. The reduction of the recoil allows for the use of ultra light alloys in the construction of the Rhino minimizing any adverse effect. The flat sided cylinder reduces the profile allowing greater concealment.

Featuring both double and single action characteristics, the single action is actuated by a hammer cocking device that engages the unexposed hammer to prepare to fire. The Rhino has a tactical black finish and a fluorescent front sight. The 2" model has a black neoprene grip and is also available as DAO with an enclosed hammer. The 4" and 5" models have a wooden grip and an adjustable rear sight. The 6" model has an adjustable fluorescent rear sight as well as top and bottom Picatinny rails.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 357 Magnum was introduced by Smith & Wesson in 1935 and initially chambered in their heavy-frame double-action revolver, the 357 was the first "magnum" handgun. Based on the 38 Special case lengthened to 1.29 inches, it was the world's most powerful handgun cartridge until the 44 Magnum. Offering considerably more power and penetration than the 38 Special, it was standard among many law enforcement agencies for decades. It is still widely manufactured in double- and single-action revolvers (and some rifles), available from virtually all revolver manufacturers; and all manufacturers of handgun ammunition offer a variety of 357 Magnum loads. It is a common choice for personal defense, and 357 revolvers have the advantage of handling less expensive and lighter-recoiling 38 Special loads for practice. As a hunting cartridge the 357 Magnum is probably the lightest cartridge that should be considered for deer-sized game. — Craig Boddington
