Designed from lessons taken from the modern battlefield, the Improved Modular (IMOD) stock provides a highly practical and functional design. This buttstock is crafted from impact- and temperature-resistant polymer specially blended for VLTOR stocks, and has waterproof side battery compartments large enough to hold three CR123 or two AA batteries in each. It comes pre-assembled with strike plate and rolled/angled buttpad with wide traction area. The IMOD buttstock has standard military and quick disconnect swivel sockets accessible from both sides. With the buttpad, this stock is 6.26" long (at centerline of tube) and weighs 9.5 oz.
