The COMTAC III is the 3rd generation of COMTAC hearing protection headsets from Peltor. Its cup profile is designed specifically for the Advanced Combat Helmet for better fit and improved comfort.

The COMTAC III is the highest-rated (passive) hearing protector available to the Military (NRR 21). The headset features external microphones for "talk-thru" capability so today's warfighter can maintain situational awareness while still protecting their hearing. In the tradition of Peltor COMTAC headsets, the COMTAC III is built to military environmental and ballistic standards to ensure its reliability in the harsh war environment.
