The DB9FS features a glass fiber reinforced polymer frame and grip to maintain a strong but light firearm. The ergonomically contoured grip fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and improves the overall "hold" of the pistol. The grip also has a mil-spec style picatinny rail, which allows seamless integration of most aftermarket accessories.

Diamondback uses a metal trigger on the DB9FS. The trigger has a short tactile reset which decreases the time between follow-up shots. The slide is made of 416 gun grade stainless steel and is equipped with tactical serrations that increases the surface area between the user's hand and the slide allowing for an overall better grip when needed. The barrel is noticeably longer than comparable models and is made from gun grade Chromalloy steel. The longer barrel improves velocity and bullet stabilization. The flared magazine base allows for easy removal. The DB9FS has a 15+1 capacity.
