Taylor/uberti 1873 Cattleman 357 Mag 7.5" Barrel Stainless: Smooth Walnut Grip

Taylor’s & Co is proud to bring you a collection of the finest 1873 Single Action Models being manufactured today. Our Single Action models are manufactured using the highest quality standards available. Most of our revolvers feature frames that are forged resulting in better grain structure and improved strength. This allows our revolvers to perform better than others in harsh conditions such as competitive shooting. The Taylor's collection gives the shooter many custom options such as finishes, barrel lengths, calibers, grip sizes and materials. A Taylor Tuned Action is available on most single action models.

The Stainless Steel cattleman in an ideal combination of a newer finish and classic revolver. All of the parts on these revolvers are stainless steel and put on a new model frame. This model comes fit with a standard Navy size walnut grip. Even with the extra durability of the stainless steel these revolvers still require normal firearm care, especially if the shooter is shooting black powder ammunition.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 357 Magnum was introduced by Smith & Wesson in 1935 and initially chambered in their heavy-frame double-action revolver, the 357 was the first "magnum" handgun. Based on the 38 Special case lengthened to 1.29 inches, it was the world's most powerful handgun cartridge until the 44 Magnum. Offering considerably more power and penetration than the 38 Special, it was standard among many law enforcement agencies for decades. It is still widely manufactured in double- and single-action revolvers (and some rifles), available from virtually all revolver manufacturers; and all manufacturers of handgun ammunition offer a variety of 357 Magnum loads. It is a common choice for personal defense, and 357 revolvers have the advantage of handling less expensive and lighter-recoiling 38 Special loads for practice. As a hunting cartridge the 357 Magnum is probably the lightest cartridge that should be considered for deer-sized game. — Craig Boddington

Sweet gun but it needs timing work. I have two older Ubertis and they distinctly have 4 clicks when cycling, like the saying goes, spells C-O-L-T. I bought two of these and the clicks are different. First trip to the range they would both skip past a position and the hammer would drop between two rounds. This really fouls up your day in a SASS match. I spent $78 each for UPS second day and they were 4 days late. I would like to have some of the shipping money back. Both of these need to go back for a tune. Sucks.
