This X-Bolt is no ordinary X-Bolt, and it is not for the ordinary hunter. Putting the proven X-Bolt action into a McMillan Game Scout stock offers the long range shooter a platform so solid you now can concentrate on ammo and your skills to achieve maximum accuracy.

McMillan stocks are U.S. Marine proven tough and the Game Scout gives the X-Bolt shooter a sporter-style stock with tactical long-range features. This exceptional stock features a medium-sized fore-end with straight comb buttstock that offers a smooth transition for shooters who want a compact hunting stock with tactical stock features. It also features a comfortable vertical pistol grip with thumbshelf. The stock is fitted with two quick-detach (QD) cups for a sling, plus it has a single front swivel just for a bipod (not included). Textured panels on the fore-end and pistol grip offer a great feel. It is finished off with a dip in versatile Browning OVIX camouflage.

The 28 Nosler is Nosler Bullets' second proprietary cartridge, following the 26 Nosler in 2015. It is based on the 26 Nosler necked up to 7mm, thus based on the 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum case shortened…which was based on the 404 Jeffery case. Case length is 2.590 inches, allowing it to be housed in standard (30-06-length) actions. The base diameter is .550-inch, with the rim slightly rebated to .543-inch. The 28 Nosler has been the most popular of the Nosler series. It is not as overbore capacity as the 7mm RUM, making it more efficient and allowing a greater variety of propellants. With a 26-inch barrel velocity of up to 3300 feet per second is possible with a 160-grain bullet, making it, as Nosler describes it, "the most powerful 7mm in the world." Nosler is the primary source for ammunition, but in addition to Nosler rifles it has been chambered in numerous custom and semi-custom rifles. — Craig Boddington
