Sig Sauer MH68MM113B920 Hybrid 6.8mm 113gr 920rnds *Crate
The Next Generation of rifle ammunition has arrived with the 6.8x51MM Hybrid Ball. The 113gr solid copper rounds were designed specifically to pair with your 6.8X51 MCX SPEAR rifle, exiting the 16 barrel at 3,200 FPS. The Hybrid Case Technology harnesses the power of the high-pressure rounds to deliver magnum performance in a short action cartridge, resulting in a flatter trajectory and increased energy on target. The Hybrid Ball ammunition is Mil-Packed in a 920rd wooden ammo crate, holding a pair of 460rd M2A2 metal ammo cans, with each ammo can containing 23 individual 20rd cardboard boxes.

The information below comes from our Gun Caliber Dictionary and is for
general reference only. It does not describe the specifications of this
particular item.
Based on the old 30 Remington case, the 6.8mm SPC (6.8mm Remington Special Purpose Cartridge) was developed in conjunction with Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and introduced by Remington in 2003 as a harder-hitting alternative to the 5.56X45mm NATO cartridge. Bullet diameter is .277-inch, same as the 270 Winchester, but the cartridge was developed to fit into the AR platform by switching out upper receivers, so shorter (lighter) bullets must be used. Standard is a 115-grain bullet at 2625 fps. Although the 6.8mm SPC has seen combat use in Southwest Asia with good results its wholesale adoption by the military seems unlikely. It has, however, found favor as a hunting cartridge in the AR platform; its many fans consider it an excellent deer cartridge out to perhaps 200 yards.
