Product Summary

The Citori 725 is the evolution of John M. Browning s legendary B25 Superposed, now with the modern performance advantage of a Low Profile receiver. The 725 receiver is significantly lower than other Citori 12 gauge receivers, yet the 725 shares the renowned durability of generations of Citori over and unders with the same rugged full width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design. The 725 showcases an Mechanical Trigger (FireLite) that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights than ever before. The exclusive Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger is a big part of the Citori 725's performance package. Unlike an inertia trigger, Fire Lite does not rely on recoil to set the next shot, instead, you get immediate second shot capability. The innovative design features reduced take up, a crisp break and shorter over travel. Inflex Technology has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. The Invector DS choke system moves to a new level of performance. All 725 target shotguns come equipped with the Triple Trigger System, which fine tunes finger to trigger length of pull. Choose a wide checkered, narrow smooth or wide smooth canted trigger shoe. A softer material provides even better recoil absorbing performance and is super slippery to prevent snagging on clothing when shouldering. Internal directional deflection construction guides the comb down and away from your cheek for greater shooting comfort and faster, more accurate follow up shots.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 28 gauge was introduced in 1903 by Parker Brothers, famous for double-barrel shotguns. With a nominal bore diameter of .550-inch, it is considered a "small gauge" shotgun, and 28 gauge is one of the four officlal events in American skeet. Case length is 2 3/4 inches and the standard charge is just 3/4-ounce of shot. That said, with modern shells the 28 gauge is surprisingly effective on both clay targets and upland birds. Although definitely an "expert's shotgun," the 28 gauge has the advantage of low recoil, can be built into very light shotguns, and is much more effective than the .410. Over the years it was kept alive mostly by serious skeet shooters, but today is often chosen by serious upland bird hunters. Because of pellet count it is most effective with smaller shot sizes (7 1/2, 8, and 9), so is rarely employed by waterfowlers. — Craig Boddington
