The rod and reel combination features an all-new 8-ball bearing American Hero Tournament baitcast reel with a one-piece, lightweight graphite composite frame and sideplates. The reel comes in the ever-popular 7.1:1 gear ratio that retrieves up to 31” inches of line per turn of the handle. The reel’s cast control is Lew’s externally adjustable Magnetic Control System (MCS) that is simple to use regardless of baitcast reel experience. Spool speed is increased or decreased as dialed to deliver the just right setting according to lure weight and fishing conditions. The reel’s drilled spool is machine forged, double-anodized aluminum for a high-end lightweight performance. Stop reeling and the spool and handle stop dead in their tracks, thanks to a rock-solid Zero-Reverse anti-reverse system.
