Product Summary

APEX is a break-action, multi-barrel interchangeable rifle system on the
market today. Just by shouldering the APEX, the serious shooter will notice
a vast superiority to its competitors in both balance and fit. But the real
test comes with the shooting. And it is in the shooting that two very
important features make the APEX really shine.

First, every APEX barrel is made by Bergara Barrels, which provide a level
of accuracy performance that is unequaled by any muzzleloader on the market
today due to its premium, custom quality. These Bergara Barrels, all made
of the highest quality 416 grade stainless steel, have quickly become
recognized as some of the most accurate production barrels in the world.
And while many of the world's most highly regarded center-fire
manufacturers use Bergara barrels on their guns, only CVA offers them in a
muzzleloader. Second, APEX s ambidextrous butt stock is designed
specifically for scope shooting, with a height of comb that positions the
shooter perfectly in line with the optics. The result is a rifle that
shoulders and points as naturally as your favorite shotgun just like it s
an extension of your body.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
Properly "Caliber 30 Model of 1906," the 30-06 was developed at Springfield Armory for the 1903 Springfield rifle. The original 1903 cartridge, though very similar, used a round-nosed 220-grain bullet; the 1906 version used a 150-grain spitzer bullet with a slightly shorter case neck and case length of 2.494-inches. The 30-06, in Springfield, 1917 Enfield, and M1 Garand rifles, remained America's service cartridge through the Korean War. It was the most powerful cartridge ever adopted by a major military, and over time became America's most popular hunting cartridge. Today there are many good choices, but the 30-06 remains extremely popular throughout the world, suited for most North American big game and equally effective for African plains game. The most common standard loads today feature: 150-grain bullet at 2910 feet per second; 165-grain bullet at 2800 fps; and 180-grain bullet at 2700 fps. Choices in both rifles and ammunition are almost limitless.  — Craig Boddington
