Product Summary

Rifle Bullets
6.5MM (.264)
129 Grain Spire Point, InterLock
Packed Per 100

Hunters worldwide use InterLock bullets to take everything from antelope to zebra and from whitetails to wildebeest. It's such a proven performer, Hornady selected it to load into enhanced performance Light Magnum and Heavy Magnum ammunition. How the Interlock Bullet works: It all happens in less than 1 /100th of a second. Yet it takes decades of experience in the design and manufacture of bullets to make it happen the same shot after shot after shot.

InterLock consistently performs under more shooting conditions than any other bullet. 1. On impact, the soft lead point is immediately pushed back and begins to expand in diameter. 2. The copper jacket, inner grooved at the bullet's point, folds back behind the leading edge of the expanding lead core. 3. The classic mushroom is achieved by the jacket and core expanding at the same rate. Expansion is controlled by increased resistance from the growing thickness of the copper jacket. 4. The InterLock ring, imbedded in the lead core, assures that the jacket and core will not separate as the bullet reaches its full expansion.

Product Features
INNER GROOVES
Strategically weaken the upper section of the jacket, ensuring consistent, controlled expansion, even at long range.

TAPERED JACKET
Jacket thickness is precisely controlled for expansion at all velocities.

ONE-PIECE CORE
Does not separate like two-piece divided cores. The InterLock® retains more mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels that ensure quick, clean kills.

CANNELURE
Provides accurate and consistent crimping and also works with InterLock® ring to ensure the core and jacket remain locked during expansion.

INTERLOCK® RING
The raised InterLock® ring is embedded in the bullet's core, ensuring the core and jacket are locked in one piece during expansion to retain mass and energy.

Note: These are component bullets, not loaded ammunition.

Great quality for a great price, shot 5 deer last season, none of them had a chance to run, all big exit wounds with good expansion. Will use interlocks again.

Tried this bullet along with the Ballistic tip and Remington Core-lokt, there wasn't a whole lot of difference with my rifle so won't hesitate to grab these again.

I reload for all my hunting rifles and demand precision like any other yahoo. I've tried all the VLD's, bonded core, Partitions, monolithic's and etc and keep coming back to the interlock flat base spire points for dependable accuracy and terminal performance on deer size game. Like others, I load develope with these and easily get 1/4 to 1/2 MOA groups out to 400 yards no problem. In the .264 caliber, the 129 grain provides a BC of .445; perfectly adequate to 600 yards without a fuss. Being a flat base, it stabilizes immediately out of the barrel. So, for hunting purposes and hunting distances, I can't find a better alternative for combining accuracy and terminal effectiveness than the Hornady Interlock spire point bullet. I use it in all my rifles of varying calibers. Ok, so Hornady might stub their exceedingly long toes on other products and ho-hum cartridges which they aggressively market but they got it right the first time with these bullets. Fantastic.

I've been working up a load for my new 260 Remington and I was trying to find a bullet that was accurate. I found that this bullet is very accurate loaded in front of 40.8grs. of H380 and is very deadly too. I have shot 11 Feral Hogs and a Whitetail Buck so far this hunting season and I still have 2 more weeks of Deer Season left to add to the total. All at 200yds out to 268yds and they've dropped in their tracks.
