Instead of being constructed like a varmint bullet that desegregates on impact, these are built like a miniature big game bullet. I've taken many coyotes and three wolves with this round and the performance has always been excellent. When recovered, (like a head on body shot) the bullet displays the classic Mushroom expansion. So, unlike a fragmenting bullet, if you take a head on quartering to you shot, you'll be able to punch through a shoulder and have more than enough lead left to cross through both lungs.
