In 1983 I traded my Ka-Bar to an Austrian Paratrooper for his issue knife. I had never heard of Glock at the time, but we always traded badges, berets, and stuff with other countries Airborne units. My expectations were low, but the knife balanced well and felt good in my hand, so I carried it. For the next 20 years it never left my side. It was built like a crowbar but would take a keen edge and hold it. It performed every function a field knife should, from prying open oil drums to field dressing a Tunisian Boar. When the Randall #1 Fighting Knife I had ordered finally arrived, I realized that the Glock was far superior to any pretty knife. The Randall was just too nice to be abused, while the Glock was a glutton for punishment. Kinda like the pistol. Buy this knife if you want a reliable, durable, not-very-pretty knife that you will use hard. Mine is not for sale....
