The Mark V TRR Custom Magnum provides extreme tactical accuracy at extended ranges. Chambered in powerful magnum calibers, the Mark V TRR features a 28" free floating barrel, which is capable of exceptional accuracy. The hand tuned trigger and hand lapped action make this a truly custom rifle.
Roy Weatherby's Mark V action changed the face of American firearms. Introduced in 1958, billed as "the world's strongest bolt action," it features three rings of steel surrounding the casehead, fluted bolt body with three gas ports, and nine locking lugs (six on non-magnum models) for a short 54-degree bolt lift. For the ultimate in speed and power, particularly on the biggest and most dangerous game, the Weatherby Mark V Magnum system has no equal.

Caliber Dictionary
The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 30-378 Weatherby Magnum is based on the huge 378 Weatherby Magnum case necked down to .30-caliber. Wildcatted for years, it was introduced by Weatherby in 2005. Its extra-large belted case requires a magnum-sized action, and longer barrels (at least 26 inches) are needed to burn its massive powder charge and reach full velocity--but it is the fastest commercial 30-caliber cartridge. Recoil and muzzle blast are severe, and it is an overbore capacity cartridge, meaning that powder selection is limited and throat erosion will be rapid. Despite these limitations it is both fast and powerful, and has thus found favor with today's growing community of long-range shooters. Weatherby is the primary source for both rifles and factory ammunition. — Craig Boddington
