Product Summary

Browning 013531912 Citori Over/Under 410 Gauge 30" Barrel 2.75" Chamber Grade III /Grade IV Walnut

The Citori 725 is the evolution of John M. Browning s legendary B25 Superposed, now with the modern performance advantage of a Low Profile receiver. The 725 receiver is significantly lower than other Citori 12 gauge receivers, yet the 725 shares the renowned durability of generations of Citori over and unders with the same rugged full width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design. The 725 showcases an Mechanical Trigger (FireLite) that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights than ever before. The exclusive Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger is a big part of the Citori 725's performance package. Unlike an inertia trigger, Fire Lite does not rely on recoil to set the next shot, instead, you get immediate second shot capability. The innovative design features reduced take up, a crisp break and shorter overtravel. Inflex Technology has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. The Invector DS choke system moves to a new level of performance. All 725 target shotguns come equipped with the Triple Trigger System, which fine tunes finger to trigger length of pull. Choose a wide checkered, narrow smooth or wide smooth canted trigger shoe. A softer material provides even better recoil absorbing performance and is super slippery to prevent snagging on clothing when shouldering. Internal directional deflection construction guides the comb down and away from your cheek for greater shooting comfort and faster, more accurate follow up shots. The Sporting Model has a ported barrel to reduce muzzle jump.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 410 Gauge (410 Bore) shotgun cartridge is the only shotshell named by caliber (diameter) rather than the old "gauge" designation of round balls to the pound. Introduced in the U.S. in the early 1900s the 410 Gauge is the smallest shotshell in common use, offered in 2.5-inch loads with a 1/2-ounce payload and 3-inch loads with 3/4-ounce payloads. Most modern shotguns are chambered for 3-inch shells, but the longer shells cannot be used in guns with 2.5-inch chambers. 410 Gauge is a standard event in formal American Skeet competition. Because of its light recoil the 410 Gauge is often chosen as a "starter" shotgun for youngsters, but it is not an ideal choice; the light payload sharply limits range, effectiveness, and hitting ability, frustrating the efforts of generations of youngsters--and 410 slug loads are very marginal for deer. In the right hands at close range the 410 gauge is effective on upland game, but at its best it is a choice for experienced expert shotgunners. — Craig Boddington
