Over the past decade numerous companies have tried to make a replica of this famed pump-action rifle originally made by Colt. Only Navy Arms, the company that founded the replica firearms industry, has produced a version that combines perfection in functioning with superior fit and finish that no other can equal.
Working with Davide Pedersoli of Italy, famed for their high-quality replica firearms, the Navy Arms Lightning features a stock made from hand-selected, Grade 1 American Walnut, beautifully checkered at the wrist and forend.
The receiver and furniture are bone-charcoal color case hardened in the United States, accented with nitre blued screws and a high-polish blued full octagonal barrel.
The Navy Arms Lightning has a unique coil-spring extraction system that ensures fast, high ejection of spent cartridges. Unlike other maker's systems that have proven to be troublesome to shooters.
Sights are a semi-buckhorn rear and gold-bead dovetail front sight. The upper tang is also drilled and tapped to accept the Marble Arms peep tang sight.
The Navy Arms Lightning Available in both 20" and 24" and in both .45 Colt and .357. There are other Lightning replicas on the market, but there is only one Navy Arms Lightning, and it is, by far, the best.

The 357 Magnum was introduced by Smith & Wesson in 1935 and initially chambered in their heavy-frame double-action revolver, the 357 was the first "magnum" handgun. Based on the 38 Special case lengthened to 1.29 inches, it was the world's most powerful handgun cartridge until the 44 Magnum. Offering considerably more power and penetration than the 38 Special, it was standard among many law enforcement agencies for decades. It is still widely manufactured in double- and single-action revolvers (and some rifles), available from virtually all revolver manufacturers; and all manufacturers of handgun ammunition offer a variety of 357 Magnum loads. It is a common choice for personal defense, and 357 revolvers have the advantage of handling less expensive and lighter-recoiling 38 Special loads for practice.
