Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf Pepper Pot Threaded Muzzle Brake
Characteristics: This symmetrical design uses five simple rows of holes arranged in a helical pattern to redirect the muzzle gas and produce a brake effect on the recoil of the weapon. The internal bore is conical to help with gas flow and also creates plenty of clearance for the projectile. The effects of a brake are always subjective, but a conservative reduction of 30% of recoil is not unusual. While the .50 Beowulf® may never be described as a quiet gun, this brake does not significantly increase the noise nor does it produce any back-blast to the shooter or anyone in the near vicinity. This brake is well suited to a hunting weapon, providing protection for the barrel crown in addition to recoil reduction.
