Taylor Uberti Whitneyville Dragoon Color Case Frame .44 Caliber 7.5" Barrel Black Powder Revolver

Taylor/Uberti Whitneyville Dragoon Color Case Frame .44 Caliber 7.5" Barrel Black Powder Revolverr

Developed in 1848, the Colt® Dragoon was issued in pairs as service firearms to members of the U.S. Army’s Mounted Rifles 1st Cavalry, the first of many units known as Dragoons. This revolver had a long and distinguished history in military and civilian service during the 1850s and 1860s, including its use in the Civil War. The dragoon models feature a case hardened forged steel frame, blued parts, brass backstrap and triggerguard. The Whitneyville Dragoon was the first Dragoon model and has similar grip and frame features to the Walker revolver, the frame it was originally built on. A conversion cylinder is available for the Dragoon revolver that is a drop-in conversion to smokeless .45LC/.45Schofield ammunition.
