Bought this for my girl, she is 5'6" and weighs 145. Obviously she is a lefty. She has never shot a shotgun before. I wanted to get her into the sport with something that didn't have too much felt recoil, that she could use her dominant eye/hand, and could also potentially grow into and have hunting options if she really takes to it. This gun fit the bill for all.
This price can't be beat, looked all over the web, this site won by a wide margin. Including shipping and FFL transfer fee I still came in at <$350. 5-year warranty on the gun makes this an absolute steal. Shipping and transfer were quick and easy, gun arrived yesterday, well-packaged with all items described.
Last night I disassembled the shotgun completely for the initial cleaning. I was able to get the gun fully stripped down, cleaned, oiled, and re-assembled in under an hour. I'm experienced with this process but it was nice to have a good manual with some pics to assist.
In general, I was not impressed with the machining quality, fit, and finish on several parts of the shotgun. In particular, the threading in the barrel and on the choke tubes, as well as the tube's poor fit inside the barrel, was frustrating. Will likely add extended aftermarket chokes at some point, hoping this will at least somewhat address this issue. Also noticed several bolt/carrier parts that were quite rough. However, you get what you pay for, and a "B-gun" this is not. As long as the gun operates properly without failures these will just be minor annoyances.
Gave 4 stars due to PRICE, ease of ordering and shipping/transfer, features on the gun, and extras that came with it. Would have been 5 stars if not for fit and finish issues.
Plan to shoot the gun as soon as things dry up outside. I will submit an updated review then if there are any drastic load, feed, ejection or patterning issues. Otherwise, think this will end up being a good purchase.
