The Browning BOSS-CR accessory offers the accuracy advantages of the original BOSS device without the muzzle brake features. The "CR" stands for (Conventional Recoil). By simply replacing the original BOSS body forward weight and the recoil reduction components with the one-piece, no whole BOSS-CR accessory, only the reduced recoil of the original BOSS is sacrificed.
The BOSS-CR accessory presents the shooter with the approximate recoil, noise and muzzle blast expected with a conventional barrel. Like all muzzle brake devices, the original BOSS reduces recoil, but also provides increased noise upon firing. The BOSS-CR accessory may be a special advantage to hunters who are less concerned with recoil reduction than noise, but still want the tunable accuracy of the BOSS.
