Predators of all kinds respond aggressively to distressed fawn bleats and the decoy's realism provides a visual focus point to reinforce what their ear have lead them to expect. Doe will respond to the visual reality of a distressed fawn. When used with a doe decoy, a buck will attempt to drive the fawn away from its mother to speed the doe into estrus.
