Product Summary

Today's Citori over and under line-up includes the original, legendary Citori (with many proven models and configurations) and the new 725 version (with low profile receiver, mechanical triggers and Invector DS). Which one is right for you? That's an impossible questions. No over and under has more fans than the original Citori and it continues to reign supreme in top performance and incredible durability. The 725 offers a new level of "One With The Gun" handling finesse that sets a new bar for the competition to shoot for.

Nothing gets your blood going like stepping onto the first station at the start of a hot skeet competition. And no other over under shotgun is more perfect for the game than the Citori XS Skeet. Its lightweight profile, high ventilated top rib with ventilated side ribs between the barrels become an extension of your body, so you swing and follow-through with ease. Its full, close-grip pistol grip with palm swell fits your hand like a glove, same position every time. You point and swing naturally, accurately, busting birds left and right. It shoots like a dream.

The proven configuration of the XS Skeet keeps muzzle jump way down for consistent second shots. The ported barrels keep jump under control even further. And with its high rib recoil is straight back for flawless followups. Consistent, consistent, consistent -- just like you want.

With its gold-accented engraving, satin finish Grade III/IV Walnut stock and forearm, and silver nitride finished receiver, the Citori XS skeet will blow the competition away.

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 28 gauge was introduced in 1903 by Parker Brothers, famous for double-barrel shotguns. With a nominal bore diameter of .550-inch, it is considered a "small gauge" shotgun, and 28 gauge is one of the four officlal events in American skeet. Case length is 2 3/4 inches and the standard charge is just 3/4-ounce of shot. That said, with modern shells the 28 gauge is surprisingly effective on both clay targets and upland birds. Although definitely an "expert's shotgun," the 28 gauge has the advantage of low recoil, can be built into very light shotguns, and is much more effective than the .410. Over the years it was kept alive mostly by serious skeet shooters, but today is often chosen by serious upland bird hunters. Because of pellet count it is most effective with smaller shot sizes (7 1/2, 8, and 9), so is rarely employed by waterfowlers. — Craig Boddington
