Standard Features:

Action Type-Gas operated, autoloader with an extra strong multiple lug rotating bolt that locks directly into the barrel. Every cartridge that is loaded into the chamber of the BAR is surrounded by a recessed bolt face, which, in turn, is encircled by the barrel, which, in turn, is surrounded by the receiver. Three rings of steel surround the cartridge.
A seven-lug bolt and precise breech-to-chamber relationship give the BAR an exceptional degree of accuracy and the strength to handle magnum loads.
The strong and very rigid action bar/inertia block link-up improves accuracy by reducing barrel vibration. The buffering system reduces wear and stress on the rifle's mechanism.

Barrel-Individually machined from hammer-forged, heat-treated billets of steel. Boss-equipped BARs are not available with open sights.

BOSS- (Ballistic Optimizing Shooting System) The BOSS allows you to fine tune the BAR's accuracy to surpass that of any other autoloader. In fact, the accuracy of a BOSS-equipped BAR even rivals that of many bolt actions. The BOSS allows you to obtain precision accuracy with commercially available ammunition. In addition to unrivaled accuracy, the BOSS reduces recoil up to 30%.

Boss-CR-This accessory is included with all BOSS-equipped rifles and offers all the accuracy advantages of the original BOSS without the muzzle brake feature.

Bolt Release Lever-Incorporated into the receiver.

Magazine-A detachable box magazine with a unique hinged floorplate.

Receiver-Safari model has one-piece ordnance steel, richly blued with scroll engraving and frilled and tapped for scope mounts.

Stock and Forearm-The fluted stock design incorporates a full pistol grip with an undercut and is contoured for use with open sights, receiver (peep) sights or scope sights. The forearm is full and hand filling. Sling swivel studs are installed in the stock and forearm.

Trigger-Features a short, smooth single stage on the trigger. Trigger assembly can be easily removed for maintenance and cleaning. Comes with an enlarged trigger guard.

7mm Remington Magnum

Caliber Dictionary

The Below Information Has Been Provided From Our Gun Caliber Dictionary And Is Meant For Informational Purposes Only. It Is Not Intended to Describe The Unique Specifications For This Ammunition.
The 7mm Remington Magnum was introduced in 1962 in the new Remington Model 700 bolt-action. Gunwriters Les Bowman, Warren Page, and others had been clamoring for a fast 7mm, and the Remington's "Big Seven" was the answer. Except the very similar 275 H&H dates to 1912, and the 7mm Weatherby Magnum to 1944. No matter; the 7mm Remington Magnum was a huge success. Viewed as more versatile, it blew the 264 Winchester Magnum off the market and went on to become the world's most popular "magnum" cartridge. Though since surpassed in this role by the 300 Winchester Magnum, the 7mm Remington Magnum remains a world-standard hunting cartridge, adequate for game up to elk and moose, flat-shooting, and able to achieve meaningful velocities with bullets up to 175 grains--but with less recoil than the fast .30-calibers. Most firearms manufacturers chamber to it, and the selection of factory loads is rich and varied. — Craig Boddington
